Traditional Teochew Restaurant with almost 20 years of history set up by previous owners was almost gone as the old couple decided to retire their F&B business.
‘It is a pity to see this traditional restaurant to cease and one of the reasons that we took over the business is because we want to keep the traditional dishes alive.‘ said Current Owners of Kitchen Stories 美乐厨坊.
Inspired by the home-cooked flavours, the team hopes to bring out the same desired flavours in all of their dishes which they are accustomed to in their hometowns. This includes the traditional dishes which are served in claypot that helps to retain flavours and allow serving hot piping food to customers fast.

Views on Traditional F&B Business for the Next Generation
It’s all about good “parenting” to the young ones. We encourage the current generation especially those who are parents, to bring their children to eat at traditional restaurants when they are young.
The team believes that children will remember what they eat and those nostalgic tastes will stay on in their palate. The children will continue to seek the same old traditional flavours when they grow up.
