“We want customers to know what they are eating. With scares from meat scandals and animal viruses, we are stringent on where we get our supplies. We take responsibility for our food and have established exclusive partnerships with recognised suppliers to ensure strict quality control, safety and reliability.” – Lee Kok Lam, Owner of The Butcher and The Butcher’s Kitchen
The Butcher’s Kitchen Philosophy
With 14 years in the market, The Butcher’s philosophy is based on honesty and transparency, giving customers peace of mind knowing where their food comes from and what goes into their food. The Butcher works directly with award-winning accredited producers, visiting their farms and processing facilities to authenticate the farm to table dining experience.
The meats are certified organic from naturally raised animals, free from antibiotics, hormone promoters and steroids. There are no chemicals or additives and customers are given a choice of free-range, non-GMO grain or grass-fed meats.
It is about living well, eating clean, being mindful and creating awareness on the origin and importance of food sources, giving accessibility to sustainable and traceable sources.
So Who’s Heading the Kitchen?
The Butcher’s Kitchen is headed by Chef Butcher Foo who has 38 years of culinary experience, 10 of which were spent travelling as a Chief Steward on board cruise liners to cargo carriers, Singaporean Chef Foo is no stranger to reinventing dishes and whipping out high-quality food. He spent time across Europe, North and South America and Africa during his tri-monthly breaks to pick up recipes and learn the ropes by working with international chefs and chains like T.G.I. Friday’s. Besides creating innovative recipes like his signature The Butcher’s Burger Dog and original The Butcher’s Chicken Wings, he bakes fresh bread and handmakes pasta daily.
The Butcher’s Kitchen Food
The Butcher’s Sausage
You will get to choose 3 kinds of sausages for your platter from a list of choices namely Country Style Beef Sausage, Chorizo (Beef), Greek Lamb (Gluten Free), Traditional Pork, Cumberland Pork and Apple Sage Rosemary (Pork).
Besides its staple fare of gourmet meats with fine cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork and sausages that customers have the option to select fresh from an open counter and customise to their taste and preferred doneness, the menu at The Butcher’s Kitchen boasts a variety of homemade artisanal pizzas, pastas, pies and 32-flavour gelato parlour.
Grilled New Zealand King Salmon Fillet
Flaky within and moist; good texture with an exterior crust. Sea salt, black pepper and a dash of simple herb butter bring out the salmon’s natural sweetness. #FreshFlown
Signature Lamb Rack
Grab the rib bone, munch it like a barbarian or slowly bite it pleasantly. Fear not as there are no strong lamb smell which you might dislike for those who don’t tale lamb because of it. The 3 pieces of lamb rack are well grilled with smoky char on the edges. Those meats are really tender and it goes well with their homemade balsamic mint dressing.
Marinated Chicken Breast
Be spoilt for choice of marination which ranges from sriracha, honey mustard, teriyaki and tandoori. This is also not your typical dry and tough chicken breast. It is juicy and tender with the hint of charred, just like charboiled.
Nolan’s Hormone & Antibiotic Free Grass Fed Ribeye
Grass fed Australian ribeye cut char grilled to your own choice of doneness then dizzlied with homemade brown sugar with mustard at the side. Steak lovers to note, this is definitely one of the recommended places to get such a flavourful steak!
Customers at The Butcher’s Kitchen have the privilege to select from its premium offerings like the Australian Robbins Island Wagyu and multi award-winning Bangalow Sweet Pork. The premium meats are known to be highly sought after and superior in quality with a full flavour and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The Butcher’s Sandwich
All the bread here all are made fresh daily. This is Roasted Beef – Grass fed Australian striploin with herbs with melted cheese and blue cheese mayo. This is way better than the pork as it is marinate is not too salty and herbs flavours are not over-powering.
Ice Cream with Waffle
More than 20 choices of homemade gelato prepared by a third generation of artisan Italian gelato makers with not just our classic dark chocolate, it also comes with out local flavours such as chendol and mao shan wang or D24 durian. You should also try out the chili crab ice cream which slightly spicier than the first I had by 1 michelin starred 2017 – Labyrinth at Esplanade! All the flavours are glutenfree
with dairy-free options available.
The menu changes quarterly with weekly and set lunch specials. Breakfast will be served from 10am. Takeaway and delivery of items like the burger dogs and pizzas will be available with partners such as Food Panda from May onwards.
