As a steakhouse which strives to deliver one of the best damn steakhouses in Singapore by hyper-focusing on the feather blade cut amongst other alternative cuts, The Feather Blade continues to push the boundaries of a proper steak joint by crafting Feather Blade dishes befitting of real value steak lovers.
“The past six months since our opening has been nothing short of spectacular. The tremendous support from our fans, who now reach as far as Korea and the UK, continues to fuel The Feather Blade team’s desire and strive to be the best steakhouse in Singapore at its price point. As the call for lunch service was strong, we have responded with a value-driven, no nonsense steak-in-a-bowl to cement our position as the go-to steakhouse all day. The Feather Blade Gyūdon will be the hallmark of our lunch offering alongside our signature steak, sides and sauces.” says Sheen, founder of the Feather Blade.
The Feather Blade Steakhouse Experience
For those who haven’t been to The Feather Blade, the Feather Blade isn’t the fanciest steakhouse around. And that’s exactly how it should be, a place where diners can expect a fuss-free and toothsome experience. Inspired by renowned steakhouse Flat Iron in London’s Soho, where founder Sheen Jet Leong, learned the ropes, The Feather Blade started as a pop-up concept in March 2019 drawing snaking queues down the Club Street hill.
Since then, Sheen has elevated the concept far beyond its predecessor by continually innovating Feather Blade centric dishes including an off-the-menu Feather Blade Burger, a USDA Prime Feather Blade Katsu Sando (Tuesday Only), and now a Feather Blade Gyūdon.
As its name suggests, the protagonist of The Feather Blade is the elusive feather blade cut. Cut from the shoulder blade of the cattle, it is the most tender after the tenderloin. Every board serves up 200g of juicy grilled steak glazed with browned butter and seasoned simply with smoked salt. Alternative cuts such as Bavette and Picanha are only available on Thursday. In accompaniment are a range of classic and Asian-inspired sides and sauces, and diners are recommended to pair their steaks with craft sakes instead of wine.
