If you’re looking for quick and tasty food at The Star Vista, then Chicken Up Little comes highly recommended from us. This casual dining spot offers delicious comfort from that hails from Korea. It’s an open-air restaurant so it can get a bit stuffy at times, but there are some ceiling fans. If you’re having problems finding the place, it is located right in the center of The Star Vista shopping complex first level.
Featuring the Chicken Up bestsellers, not the full menu. It’s Halal Certified!
If you’ve been to one of the bigger restaurants of this franchise then you’ll be familiar with the super crunchy Korean-styled fried chicken that comes in different flavors to satisfy every palate. We went for the spicy version “Yangnyum Chicken Korean Sweet Chilli Style”, which really wasn’t as spicy as I had imagined it would be. It’s got such a sweetness to it that makes it okay for non-spicy food lovers to give it a try.
We also tried the Korean Seafood Pancake, which is a great appetizer, and it’s cut up into small pieces so you can share the dish easily with friends and family. Everything is served in paper plates and trays because it’s fast food after all, but you can expect great quality nonetheless.
What we are really excited to share with you is the promotion that’s happening at Chicken Up Little from now until 14 March 2017 where you can get a small bowl of “Jjajangmyeon” with any purchase! That means you can simply spend $3 on a soft drink and end up getting a small meal. We really liked the peach flavored soft drink.
Jjajangmyeon, Small Size (Promotion Only) and Standard Regular Size
Jjajangmyeon is something like the Korean version of spaghetti. It’s a noodle dish that comes with a savory sauce made with black soybean paste and served with sliced cucumbers. In most Korean restaurants you will find this dish is made with pork; however, Chicken Up Little serves it with chicken so it’s Muslim-friendly for the Singaporean community. Also part of the promotion is the regular sized portion of Jjajangmyeon at half price from $8 to just $4.
The Superior Crispy Fresh Sweet Whole Onion Served with Kimchi Mayo & Truffle Whipped Cream
