#Throwback Guinness Great Grill Out Festival 2018
This year’s event will showcase exactly these qualities. Back by popular demand, the 2019 Great Grill Out will be held on 2 & 3 November from 12 pm to 10 pm at Loewen Road giving festival-goers a chance to experience the well-renowned perfect pairing between Guinness and all things grilled, tailored to the diverse pallet of the Singaporean market. Attendees will be treated to local favourites including Camp Kilo Charcoal Club, Red Eye Smokehouse, Sidecar Sausages, and Meat Smith, all paired with an icy, rich and creamy Guinness.
Set against the backdrop of music from prominent DJs and live bands, the Great Grill Out 2019 is a festival not to be missed.
New Highlights of Great Grill Out 2019
Beyond red meats, this year’s festival will incorporate grilled Japanese unagi dishes from Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant as well as wholesome healthy veggies from Frank Food Company, all in a bid to make the festival more inclusive among family and friends.
Furthermore, the festival will house a Farmers’ Market themed around sustainability. This is a dedicated space for guests to explore artisanal food products and a range of eco and socially-conscious lifestyle goods. Here you can also customise your own cutting boards with sustainable hardwoods from Arthur Zaaro, and choose from a variety of artisanal beeswax wraps at Mini makers to swop out your plastic cling wraps with.
An Immersive Food Experience
One highlight to look forward to again this year is the range of fun, interactive masterclasses led by international leading experts. Learn the basics of grilling from Weber Grill Academy, explore meat and beer pairing from Guinness Storehouse beer sommelier Ian Colgan, and discover the ins and outs of Guinness-infused baking from Dean Brettschneider, a professional baker and patissier with accolades from all over the world.
Another crowd-favourite making a comeback is the Guinness pop-up restaurant for guests to indulge in top-notch dining. Evolved from last year’s menu, each dish from the restaurant’s specially curated five-course menu is paired with limited-edition beers flown all the way from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Dublin and available only at the festival. And for those itching at their pockets, this experience is priced at only S$68 per person for five courses. With slots limited, dining experience will be available for booking at get.guinness.com on a first-come, first-served booking.
For those who like a challenge, in true Great Grill Out style, the festival will be bringing back their Spicy Sausage Challenge for the second year in a row. Whether you want to test your personal spice limits, task your friend to an eating competition or place a friendly bet on who you think will be the ultimate spice champion, the Spicy Sausage Challenge hosted by radio personality and comedian Shaun Tupaz will be the place to be.
