Moippai Izakaya is the latest informal Japanese gastropub (居酒屋) located in the east of Singapore!
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by girls dressed in traditional kimono.
Yes! They are all from Taiwan. Here at Moippai Izakaya, every one of you will be treated with good respect. All of the ladies will bow to the waist upon taking orders as well before and after serving you, just like the Japanese culture way of greeting. We will also like to emphasize that in Moippai Izakaya, what you get is a sense of satisfaction in terms of the kind of good customer service which the staffs are trained to provide! It is also something which other F&B can learn and reference from. Paradise Group’s Beauty in a Pot also trained their staff with the influence of Japan service culture as well.
What we also realised is that hiring of interns is absolutely one of the good strategies to cope with the challenges of hiring full-time locals because of long hours commitment and foreigners due to limited quota which a business can hire in Singapore. That also reminds us the “Sogirls” concept by Sogurt except that they are mainly comprise of local part timers.
