Out of so many sukiyaki you tried, have you ever had something that goes with whisky? This is probably the first ever whisky sukiyaki in Singapore where you can only get it at Tamashii Robataya!!
After so many trials and tastings, Chef-owner Patrick finally found the best whisky he could ever match for this new sukiyaki experience at this point of time – the Nikka Whisky Black Clear.
Tamashii Robataya only uses A5 Saga Beef (Japanese Wagyu). This A5 Saga Gyu Sukiyaki set comprise of appetizer, A5 Japanese Beef Ribeye, Assorted Vegetables, Rice and Dessert while the 100ml of Nikka Whisky Black Clear is optional if you choose to proceed with this adventurous experience.

The way of serving this Saga Gyu Sukiyaki is different from your usual way of having it. You will get to enjoy the pan seared saga beef with their homemade sukiyaki sauce first. The homemade sukiyaki sauce’s sweetness is just right.
Japanese Eggs are being used in this meal.
Next, the assorted vegetables will be pan fried in sequence, followed by the rest of the A5 Saga Beef with homemade sukiyaki sauce.
Finally if you have chosen to head on with the whisky sukiyaki experience, 100ml of flambe Nikka Whisky Black Clear will be poured over the sukiyaki pot. Now, the overall key difference besides talking about whisky is that this is not your usual soupy type of sukiyaki.
This is the ‘dry version’ which you will get to enjoy the more intense flavourful sukiyaki sauce with a bowl of Japanese rice besides dipping your beef over the raw Japanese egg. The whisky actually enhance the flavours and aroma of the sukiyaki experience.
