Inspired by the Gentleman Gastro Pub of London, England, and Melbourne, Australia, Chef-Owner Ega Suwignyo and his kitchen partner shared with us that it is their best decision ever made to start their own culinary journey back in Indonesia. The spot hit right in Bali, Seminyak along the stretch of Petitenget road with various pubs, restaurants, and shopping. One of the reasons is also because it is so much easier to get pork in Bali.
Ega Suwignyo (Balinese) met his partner (Indonesian from Jakarta) through cooking together in a restaurant back in Sydney. Both of them started out as young chefs and they are now in their late 20s.
“Bli” means Bro, a short form for brother in the Balinese language.. and “Crackling” is defined to them as “deep-fried pork”. The name of “Bli Crackling” formed from this partnership together to create mainly crispy pork dishes which they specialise in apart from providing other meats.

This restaurant has a big outdoor space under the roof that is available for functions and event parties hosting. The night’s ambience is even better once the yellow lights brighten up the whole place and giving it a warm feel.
There is also a bar that has a variety of specialty cocktails available ranging from beer, pork-infused (strongly recommended) to some molecular gastronomic cocktails.

Here comes one of the key signature, the big Crispy Pork Knuckle served with whipped potato, crispy pork skin and 2 types of sambal! This is really big, and thankfully it is not dry on the inside. Go for whipped as it has a creamy texture you can spread over your meat and enjoy.
BBQ Pork Ribs, let’s go full rack and share! #NomNomNom
The ribs are prepared with classic bbq sauce with a hint of garlic. We did suggest for making the ribs to be “fork tender” in the next round’s and we shall look forward to that.
For dessert, we were recommended the Lava Red Velvet Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry on top! The sweetness is just right while we would actually prefer dark chocolate if they do have it in the future.
Overall, we had a good experience especially with the staffs who smiles!
